Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account details — name, email, phone, role, and password stored only as an Argon2 hash.
• Learner details — age, and for under-18s, a parent or guardian's name, email and phone.
• Business details — business name, company name, industry, website and the services you requested.
• Payment records — amount, reference, status and channel. Card details are handled by Paystack and never reach our servers.
• Content you submit — messages, assignments, community posts and comments.
• Security telemetry — IP address, browser user-agent, and login attempts, used to detect abuse.

2. Why we hold it

To run your account and enrolment, take payment, deliver courses and projects, reply to enquiries, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles.

3. Cookies

We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and — only if you tick "keep me signed in" — a device cookie so that browser can skip the one-time login code for 30 days. Both are HttpOnly and SameSite-restricted. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

4. Third parties we use

• Paystack — payment processing.
• Brevo — transactional email (verification codes, receipts, replies).
• Cloudflare — bot protection (Turnstile) and, in production, media storage (R2).
• Google Fonts — typefaces.

5. Under-18 learners

A learner who states an age below 18 must supply a parent or guardian's name and email. Both the learner and the guardian receive separate verification codes, and both must be entered before the account is activated. Guardians can request access to, or deletion of, their child's data at any time.

6. How long we keep it

Account and learning records are kept while your account is open. Financial records and audit logs are retained after account closure where we are required to keep them. When an account is deleted we anonymise the email address and retain only what is needed for accounting and audit integrity.

7. How we protect it

Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. One-time codes are stored hashed, never in plain text. Traffic is served over HTTPS, database connections use TLS in production, and the database is not publicly reachable. Course media and assignment uploads are served through short-lived signed URLs, and every privileged or financial action is written to an audit log.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email info@solutiontee.com and we will respond within 30 days.
